Focus on world peace as a form of spring ritual
Sometimes there are simple and obvious solutions to complex problems, and sometimes when a thought is put "out there," it gains momentum and takes hold. The Old City of Jerusalem should be a world heritage site, available to all, owned by no one.

Some of the holiest places on the planet make up this complex, venerated by Jews, Christians and Muslims who taken together comprise half the world's population. This area should be one of unity, safe passage, and study (tourism, too). Considered by many to be the "Gateway to Heaven," all the fighting and killing in the region reminds one of an opposite place.

A confluence of natural and religious events take place this year around March 20, including the first day of spring, the full moon, the Christian celebration of the last supper, the Jewish feast of Esther, and Mohammed's birthday. Since all world religions have some form of spring rite, it is the perfect time for all of us to come together and focus on world peace.
