Write more tickets to enforce rules of the road
Arecent article in the paper stated that a local police chief criticized his officers for only writing about 40 tickets per officer per year. That equates to less then one ticket per week. The chief was criticized and complaints that this is trying to enforce a quota system of issuing tickets was expressed.

If I was a police officer, I certainly could write five tickets per hour because New Jersey drivers do many stupid illegal things when driving. We have far too many accidents resulting in deaths and long-term problems for both drivers and pedestrians. We need to enforce our rules of the road far more than we are presently doing.

It's time to write tickets folks and stop complaining when it is obvious that you are not doing what you pledged to enforce.
