The Atlantic Highlands Historical Society is seeking local musicians to showcase their talents during the 36th annual Arts & Crafts festival on Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (rain date Aug. 17). The festival features more than 75 arts and crafts vendors, food and musical entertainment. Local businesses will be part of the festivities. Abigail Adams (Kim Hanley) will be the featured guest at the meeting of the Monmouth County Genealogy Society at 2 p.m. July 13 at the Community/Senior Center, 72 Broad St., Eatontown. The event will celebrate the society's 20th anniversary. A social hour at 1 p.m. will precede the talk. Hanley, in her role, will talk about her extraordinary life as wife, mother, farmer, accountant and diplomat. The free program is open to the public. Red Bank Chapter of Deborah will sponsor a bus trip to Trump's Taj Mahal Casino-Hotel, Atlantic City, 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. July 17. The bus will depart Shrewsbury Plaza, Route 35 and Shrewsbury Avenue. Cost is $28 with a $22 casino give-back and $5 toward food. For reservations, call 732- 542-3247.

Middletown Ramblers will hold a Square Dance ABC at the Croydon Hall Senior Center, 900 Leonardville Road, Leonardo section of Middletown, 7:30-10 p.m. July 25. Couples and singles are welcome. Donation is $3; admission is free for children younger than 18 (must be accompanied by a parent). Refreshments will be provided. No dancing experience is needed. The Shrewsbury Chorale will hold a gift raffle fundraiser at 7 p.m. July 24 at the Radisson Hotel, 50 Gibson Place, Freehold Township. Pioneer Girls for girls age 4 through grade six will hold its first meeting 4-5:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1305 Eatontown Blvd., Oceanport. Pioneer Girls is designed to bring children to a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ. Girls study the bible, memorize scripture, learn new skills and play games. The group meets Tuesdays.
