Joseph Zaccardi

Mr. Zaccardi, 80, of the Belford section of Middletown, died July 8, 2008, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was a driver at Sunshine Biscuit Corp., Woodbridge, retiring in 1994. Prior to that, he was a firefighter for the Jersey City Fire Department from 1959 to 1985. He was predeceased by a son, Thomas Zaccardi, in 1983; and a brother, Michael Zaccardi. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Lambe Zaccardi; two sons and daughtersin law, Joseph and Joan Zaccardi of Middletown, and Michael and Carol Zaccardi of Kearney; a daughter and son-in-law, Anne Zaccardi Henry and Brian Henry of Tinton Falls; a brother, Dennis Zaccardi of Florida; a sisterin law, Jane Zaccardi of Chadwick Isle; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Visitation will be held July 10 from 7-9 p.m., and July 11 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held July 12 at 8:45 a.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral liturgy will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Chapel, Middletown. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
