Robert Field Palmer

Mr. Palmer, 89, of Fair Haven, died July 10, 2008. He was the retired manager of Project Coed, Newark. Prior to that, he was employed as Director of Public Information for the New Jersey Department of Education, and education editor and a reporter at the Newark Evening News. He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanore Mortenson Palmer. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Ruth; a son, James of Milwaukee; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Interment was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. Memorial donations may be made to Shrewsbury Historical Society, 419 Sycamore Ave., P.O.
