Fundraisers for BCC scholarships Oct. 5, 11

The Lincroft Business & Professional Women's Group will sponsor two fundraisers to benefit three $1,000 scholarships to be awarded in the memory of Viola Bernice Evans, mother of Gwen Evans, the nurse at Brookdale Community College (BCC), Lincroft section of Middletown.

An entertainment Music Fest and buffet will be 3-7 p.m. Oct. 5 at Belmar Waterview Pavilion. Tickets are $45. For tickets or more information, call 732-224- 2106 or 732-224-2395.

A dinner and trip to see "In the Beginning" at Sight & Sound Millennium Theatre, Lancaster County, Pa., will be noon Oct. 11 (show time 7:30 p.m.). Tickets are $94. The bus will depart parking lot one at the Brookdale Lincroft campus. For tickets, call 732-224-2106.

The scholarships are available to fulltime BCC students majoring in sociology, criminal justice, health science or early childhood education. Deadline to apply is Dec. 15. For more information, call 732- 224-2705.
