Local flu/pneumonia clinics begin Oct. 27

Monmouth County Regional Health Commission No. 1 has announced its flu/pneumonia vaccine clinics for 2008. A clinic will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 27 at Jersey Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross, West Park Avenue, Tinton Falls.

Other clinics will be:

• 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 3 at Red Bank Senior Center, 80 Shrewsbury Ave.

• noon-1 p.m. Nov. 3 at Lunch Break, 121 Drs. James Parker Blvd., Red Bank

• 1:30-3 p.m. Nov. 18 at Tinton Falls Borough Hall, 556 Tinton Ave.

• noon-1 p.m. Nov. 19 at Sea Bright Borough Hall, 1167 Ocean Ave.

Immunizations will be offered to individuals age 18 or older. Cost for non- Medicare eligible participants is $23 for the flu shot, and $28 for the pneumonia shot. Eligible Medicare participants having part b (medical) insurance need to present just a Medicare care. No other insurance is accepted.
