SHREWSBURY — The rich history and vibrant traditions of the historic Four Corners of Shrewsbury will be brought together with a holiday bazaar and lantern tour of historic sites Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5 and 6, at Christ Church.

The church is located at the intersection of Route 35 and Sycamore Avenue.

Festivities kick off Friday, Dec. 5, with the Historic Four Corners Lantern Tour, a trip back through time to the Shrewsbury of centuries past. Costumed guides will provide an informative look at four venues: Christ Church, the Presbyterian Church at Shrewsbury, Shrewsbury Friends Meeting House, and the Allen House, a county property that was once a Colonial tavern.

All are located at or near the intersection of Route 35 and Sycamore Avenue.

There will be two tours, one at 6 p.m. and one at 8 p.m. The cost of the tour is $15, $8 for children under 12, and $6 each for those in youth groups of 12 persons or over.

Advance reservations are encouraged and may be made by calling 732-747-0612.

The Christmas Bazaar will be held Friday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors will be treated to a wide array of offerings, including a bake shop, silent auction, crosses and memorial ornaments, poinsettias, gently used household goods, and pre-owned books.
