Audubon trip to Barnegat Light Jan. 24

Monmouth County Audubon Society will host a field trip at noon Jan. 24 to Barnegat Light and the Manahawkin marshes.

The trip will be led by Audubon board member Michael Casper. Attendees may see snow buntings, horned larks, long-tailed duck and scoters. After a break later in the day, the group will caravan to the Dunkin' Donuts, Route 9 north, Manahawkin, to explore part of the Manahawkin marshes to look for shorteared owls. Interested attendees should arrive at the facility before 3:30 p.m.
