      Mended Hearts, a support organization of heart patients, their families, health professionals and other interested individuals, will meet at noon Jan. 22 at Blaisdell auditorium at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Light lunch will be served. Registration is required for the free meeting.

      Shrewsbury First Aid Squad has announced its 2009 officers elected at its December meeting. Michael Bell will serve as president. Vice president is Georgia Blair, while Gary Ruggiero will serve as secretary, and Bill Byrne, treasurer. Anthony Pellegrino is captain; Don Eddy is first lieutenant, Bill Byrne is second lieutenant, and Lester Van Pelt, engineer.
