Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast Jan. 19

The Community YMCA and YMCA of Western Monmouth County will host the 20th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. memorial breakfast 8-10 a.m. Jan. 19 at Branches, 123 Monmouth Road, West Long Branch.

The event, open to the community, will include a presentation by guest speaker Monmouth County Prosecutor Luis A. Valentin, and inspirational readings and musical selections by local community members. Scholarships and the Humanitarian Award will also be presented.
