Margaret "Peggy" Campanella

Mrs. Campanella, 75, of Matawan, died Dec. 29, 2008, at St. Barnabas Hospice, Long Branch. Born in the Washington Heights section of New York City, she had resided in Bergenfield before moving to Matawan 42 years ago. Mrs. Campanella was predeceased by three brothers, Timothy, Michael and John Bugler; and a sister, Nora Turgeon. Surviving are her husband, Salvatore Campanella; a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Jennifer Campanella of Little Silver; three sisters, Anne Maxwell of Dumont, Helen Lucas of Midland Park, and Mary Agosto of Westfield; and three grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
