Lunch Break says thanks for holiday support

Lunch Break wants to take this opportunity to thank our supporters, especially those of you who were so generous around the holidays. With your help, we distributed special food baskets with turkeys to more than 500 people at Thanksgiving and Christmas; plus more than 520 children received presents from Lunch Break.

While many of you know us as Red Bank's not-for-profit soup kitchen, you might not know that in addition to serving hot lunches from Monday through Friday, we also distribute bag lunches on Saturdays (thanks to the volunteers at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church in Lincroft,) to more than 70 families in need, as well as distribute used clothing in good repair to more than 150 clients every first Saturday in the month.

Lunch Break's mission is to serve the community. To make that happen, we rely heavily on the kindness of the community. Now — more than ever — we need to call on everyone to help us in our efforts to continue the fight against hunger. Your contributions — monetary and food — will go a long way in achieving this.

For more information, you can visit us at 121 Drs. Parker Blvd. in Red Bank or at www.lunchbreak. org. You can also call us at 732-747-8577.
