Exhibit of oils by Highlands painter
An exhibit of oil paintings by Norma Wokas will be at Little Silver Borough Hall, 480 Prospect Ave., through Feb. 25.
"Three Boys Fishing" Born in Nicaragua, Wokas has lived in the U.S. for 30 years, the last eight as a Highlands resident. This location has richly influenced the choice of subjects for her oil paintings, which range from cityscapes to nautical themes and beach scenes.
Her artwork reflects the influence of Impressionist painters. She has studied at the Art Student League of New York and is a member of the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury as well as the Art Society of Monmouth County.
The Little Silver Borough Hall hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
