      Loss of young lives is a loss of potential
            Idid not know Sidney Wakefield and Joseph Fann, but they lived just blocks from my house in Red Bank. On Feb. 10 they died just blocks from my house — for no reason whatsoever. My condolences go out to their families and friends.

      Failure of free enterprise led to Mt. Laurel, COAH
            In her letter in last week's Hub, Gail Meltesen wants to scrap COAH [Council on Affordable Housing] and "allow free enterprise to fill the needs of the people." However, it is precisely because "free enterprise" failed to fill the housing needs of so many people that we are stuck with Mount Laurel and COAH in the first place.

      Adoptee Birthright Bill more important than dolphins
            Sen. Sean T. Kean's letter, "Dolphins will die, while NOAA does nothing," Jan. 29, is laudable on his stand to save the dolphins. What I find disturbing is that he seems to have more concern for the dolphins than for the citizens he represents.
