            Mrs. Matthews, 88, of Middletown, died Feb. 15, 2009, at Brighton Gardens of Middletown. She resided in Sea Bright, Rumson, and the Navesink section of Middletown, prior to relocating to Middletown. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Matthews; and a sister, Charlotte E. Madusky.             Mr. Gayer, 64, of Sea Bright, died Feb. 5, 2009, at home. He was employed for several years at Shea's Family Service Station, Sea Bright. He is survived by a brother and sister-inlaw, Michael S. and Anne-Mari Alexander; and his stepmother, Patricia Alexander. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

            Mr. Triolo, 78, of Matawan, died Feb. 11, 2009, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He resided in Red Bank, prior to relocating to Matawan, 54 years ago. He was a construction technician at HNTB Engineering, Wayne, for more than 20 years; and employed at St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel, for 12 years.

            Mrs. Lapa, 85, of Tinton Falls, died Feb. 12, 2009, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She resided in Matawan, prior to relocating to Seabrook Village, Tinton Falls, 10 years ago. She was a retired secretary at EI DuPont, Parlin, for several years.             Mr. Brush, 80, of Long Eddy, N.Y., and Zephyrhills, Fla., and formerly Oceanport, died Feb. 13, 2009, at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center, Dade City, Fla. She was employed at the family-owned Red Bank Pizza for more than 50 years.       Elmer "Ace" Godwin
            Mr. Godwin, 88, of Shrewsbury, died Feb. 19, 2009, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, following a battle with leukemia. He was an electronics engineer at the U.S. Army Electronics Command Research and Development Laboratories, Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, for 35 years, retiring in 1979.
