      Program will focus on butterflies

RED BANK — Jeffrey Glassberg, renowned butterfly expert and author, will present "Exotic Beauty: The Butterflies, Landscapes and People of Mexico" at the Monmouth County Audubon Society meeting on Wednesday, April 8. The meeting will be held at the Trinity Episcopal Church on White Street. The public is welcome; admission is free. Glassberg is the driving force behind the butterflying revolution. Through his efforts, large numbers of Americans are beginning to view butterflies as wildlife.

Glassberg is the founder and president of the North American Butterfly Association and is the editor of "American Butterflies" magazine, as well as the author of numerous books and field guides on butterflies and caterpillars.

The program "Exotic Beauty: The Butterflies, Landscapes and People of Mexico" showcases one of the greatest places on Earth to see and enjoy butterflies. Mexico offers a hard-to-beat combination of great diversity and amazing abundance.

Join Glassberg on a tour of Mexico that focuses on butterflies but also reveals some of the beautiful contours of the Mexican landscape and the nature of its people.

The Monmouth County Audubon Society meets the second Wednesday of each month, September through May, at Trinity Episcopal Church, White Street in Red Bank. In addition, the group sponsors at least one field trip per month.
