Mr. Rathlev, 89, of Little Silver, died March 12, 2009, at home. He was employed for several technology companies, retiring from ITT in 1975. Prior to that, he was with the U.S. Army for several years, retiring as a colonel at Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, in 1966. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine; and a daughter, Catherine. He is survived by a son, George; four daughters, Deborah, Elizabeth, Mary and Suzanne; and 13 grandchildren. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
