Bring history back into Mon. County's schools
      Back in the early 20th century no high school education was complete without a senior class trip to George Washington's home, Mount Vernon, Va. Those pilgrimages are documented in the Monmouth County Historical Association's archives with photographs from the 1920s of Freehold High School senior classes posed on the lawn at Mount Vernon.

Fair Haven dog owners grateful to empathetic teens
      Late one February evening, our family's life tragically changed. Our 2-year-old papillion, Copper, escaped from our backyard through a small hole in the fence that a windstorm created a few days earlier. Two young men came to our door to inform us that they had just witnessed our dog get hit by a car. Frantically, my husband and I ran to his little, broken body.
