BCC is playing quality baseball

      Brookdale's fine 18-4 start on the baseball diamond is no surprise to head coach Johnny Johnson. "This is a sophomore-laden team," he said. "I expected them to come out and play quality-level baseball." One of those sophomores delivering the quality is catcher Keith Weinkofsky, who is proving every game that he is more than a power hitter who catches.

      The 20th annual Sandy Hook Foundation Golf Outing will be held May 4 at the Beacon Hill Country Club in Atlantic Highlands. The event features contests such as closest to the pin, longest drive and straightest drive as well as putting contests, "Pot of Gold," a hole-in-one challenge and a super 50/50 drawing. Golf begins with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
