Chess exhibition in Red Bank

RED BANK — Monmouth Chess School and Club will host a 16-board simultaneous exhibition by Dr. Anatoly Volovich 2-4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18.

Volovich is the two-time winner of the prestigious Moscow Championship and, more recently, the 2007 New Jersey State Championship, a trainer of World Champion Boris Spassky, and a member of the elite masters of the Russian School of Chess.

The event will take place at the Community YMCA Children's Cultural Center, 51 Monmouth St., Red Bank.

All proceeds from the event are donated to the Community YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.

Sign-ups are on a first-come, firstserved basis. Those who wish to participate can reserve their board with the board fee of $25, payable to the Community YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.
