U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 22 will present "America's Boating Course," 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. May 9 at Red Bank Regional High School, Hance Road, Little Silver. The Christian Science Reading Room, 22 Monmouth St., Red Bank, will join reading rooms worldwide with an international open house 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 16. The community is encouraged to attend and learn what the reading room has to offer. Reading rooms serve the community by offering research materials about the Bible, musical and inspirational CDs, children's Bible teaching tools, and books and materials. The infant/child CPR, health awareness and safety education nonprofit organization CHASE for Life teamed up with Fair Haven's KICK Dance and the U.S. Taekwondo Center in West Long Branch to present the "Kick for Life" benefit. Held at Monmouth University's Pollak Theatre on March 8, the familyfriendly event raised close to $6,000 for CFL's mission to promote safety awareness. The Historical Society of Ocean Grove will hold its seventh annual "Greater New Jersey Postcards, Books, Advertising, Ephemera & Paper Collectibles Show & Sale" 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 28 at the Young People's Temple, Pilgrim Pathway and Mc- Clintock Street, Ocean Grove. The donation is $3 per person. The fundraiser will feature postcards and vintage postcards from 26 dealers, antique books, and vintage advertising. Paper collectibles include children's books, trade cards, cigarette cards, coins, vintage posters and maps. Proceeds will benefit the public programs and research projects of the historical society. John Michael Talbot will be in concert 8 p.m. April 25 at the gym at Holy Cross School, 30 Ward Ave., Rumson. Talbot is a singer-guitarist, and founder of the monastic community the Brothers and Sisters of Charity.
