      Police, DPW, senior center will keep same hours

      Red Bank announced last week that beginning June 1, it would implement a four-day, 10-hour-per-day workweek for most employees as a cost-cutting measure. Stanley Sickels, borough administrator, said at the Borough Council meeting April 13 that the shorter workweek is expected to save the borough up to $3,000 each month in air conditioning and related expenses.       On Saturday, April 18, four baseball teams took the field at West Long Branch's Valenzano Park to remember one young man who touched the lives of many.       RED BANK — The Borough Council approved an ordinance at the April 13 meeting that bans the use of eminent domain when a private developer is involved. "The ordinance states that eminent domain is not to be used in Red Bank," said CouncilmanMichael DuPont, who proposed the ban. More...


      Only Red Bank, Tinton Falls will see incumbents challenged

      Red Bank will have the only contested race for Borough Council seats among local towns in the November elections, with Republicans trying to regain a presence on the governing body.       The Sheep's Run Designer Show House, 99 Rumson Road, Rumson, will open its doors April 28-May 31 to benefit the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey, Red Bank.
