Where? Center for the Visual Arts (CVA) - Park in Lots 1 and 2

Why? It's spring - time to celebrate the arts at Brookdale

      Admission? Free.

How? Just walk in and mosey around - there is a vast array of talent on display in the CVA.

"Collage," the award-winning student publication of art and literature, is celebrated during the annual Arts Alive event at Brookdale Community College in the Lincroft section of Middletown. Hundreds of copies of "Collage" are available for free while they last.

      • Student authors will read their published poems in the foyer of the CVA Building.

      • Live theater in the CVA Gallery. The Theater Department's student directors will showcase their works by enacting scenes from their plays. BCC students are the actors/actresses. Visitors will stand or sit on the gallery floor.

      • CVA Gallery's "Pin-Up" exhibition is on display with examples of students' posters made in 2-D design courses, some specializing in typography. Also on view in the CVA: photography, drawing, painting, ceramics, jewelry and sculpture/metal works.

      • Live music in the first-floor lobby: BCC student vocalists will sing Broadway standards from the 1940s.
