      Red Bank Library hosts children's programs

      RED BANK — The Red Bank Public Librarywill host events for children during May.

      On Saturday, May 9, 3-4 p.m., Presley and Melody will present a special Children's Book Week and Mother's Day interactive concert for all ages. Registration is required by calling the library at 732-842-0690.

      Drop-in paper crafts are offered Mondays- Saturdays during library hours, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; and Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The library will be closed May 23 and 25.

      Other scheduled activities include: May 4- 16, Children's Book Week crafts; May 18-22, Memorial Day posters & flag crafts; May 26- 30, Flower notebooks & pop-ups. Toddler Time will be held 10:30-10:50 a.m., Tuesdays, May 5, 12, 19 and 26; stories and activities are geared for children ages 1 and 2. Parents must be present with children.

      Story Time will be held 10:30- 11 a.m., Wednesdays, May 6, 13, 20 & 27. Stories and activities geared for children ages 3-5. Parents must be in the Children's Room.

      The Avice Noblett Book Club meets 4:15- 5 p.m. Thursdays, May 7, 14, 21, 28. The program is for school-age children and combines reading, book discussion and drawing projects based on a specific author.

      Family time is scheduled for 3-3:30 p.m., Saturdays, May 2, 16 and 30. The half-hour features group art projects for decorating the library as well as stories and individual craft packets. This program is for all ages, but children under 5 must be with an adult.
