      Dominick F. Santelle

      Mr. Santelle, 93, of New Port Richey, Fla., died April 12, 2009, at Community Hospital, New Port Richey. He resided in Red Bank, and Little Silver, prior to relocating to New Port Richey. He was employed at the New York/Long Branch/Pennsylvania Railroad, beginning as a track laborer and worked his way to supervisor from 1939 until retirement from New Jersey Transit in 1985. He served on and was a former chairman of the Little Silver Recreation Council, and in 1995 received the Distinguished Service Award from the borough of Little Silver in recognition of contributions and service on committees and boards that included the Zoning Board of Adjustment, and ethics board. The Riverview Park and boat launch facility was renamed and dedicated the Dominick F. Santelle Park and Boat Launch Facility in 1997. He is predeceased by his wife Marciadene Payne Santelle; and a brother, Joseph Santelle. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith Santelle and Dennis Trott of New Gretna, and New Port Richey, Fla., and Patricia Santelle and Gerrit Schulze of Voorhees; two sons and daughters in-law, Mark and Susan Santelle of Middletown, and Paul and Wendy Santelle of Tinton Falls; three grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. Memorial donations may be made to Dominick F.
