      BCC baseball team is region's top seed
            The Brookdale Community College baseball team will host this weekend's Region XIX Tournament as the No. 1 seed. Coach Johnny Johnson's Jersey Blues wrapped up the No. 1 seed for the Region XIX event by winning the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) and posting the best region record (14-2) en route to a 34-8 overall record.

      BCC softball team in Region XIX final
            Coach Bo Scannapieco and the Brookdale Community College softball team will be in a very familiar position today. The Jersey Blues will be trying to win another Region XIX championship when they play at 2 p.m. at Ocean County College in Toms River.

      Former Brookdale athlete honored
            MIDDLETOWN — The Brookdale Foundation has announced that Dennis "Denny" Walling, well-known Monmouth County athlete and former professional baseball player, is the honoree for the 2009 President's Scholarship Ball. Walling, a Brookdale alumnus, will be feted at the event on Saturday, May 16, at Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club.
