David "Pop" Olson

Mr. Olson of New Holland, Pa., died April 29, 2009, at Hospice of Lancaster County, Pa., following a brief illness. He resided in Monmouth Beach and West Long Branch, prior to relocating to Pennsylvania. He was a self-employed carpenter, retiring in 1985. He had also been employed at Monmouth University, West Long Branch. He is survived by his wife, Shelba Sandiford Olson; six children and their spouses, Bobbie and Charles Schanck III of Oceanport; David and Maryann Olson of New Holland, Pa.; Kimberly Olson of Kirkwood, Pa.; Christopher and Lori Olson of West Long Branch; Jason and Dianna Olson of Ephrata, Pa.; and Richard and Nancy Wong of Eatontown; and nine grandchildren. A memorial service will be May 9 at 11 a.m. at the Hershey Mennonite Church, Kinzers, Pa. Arrangements are by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.
