Cabaret for Life show May 27 in Asbury
      Cabaret for Life (CFL), Ocean Grove, a nonprofit organization that provides musical theater to support charities for those affected by cancer and HIV/AIDS, will present the first of five shows, "Children Will Listen: The Musical Legacy of Oscar Hammerstein II and Stephen Sondheim," 7:30 p.m. May 27 at Tim McLoone's Supper Club, 1200 Ocean Ave., Asbury Park.

      The Fair Haven PTA will host its semiannual house tour June 3 beginning at 50 Fair Haven Road at 9:30 a.m. The tour will feature eight Fair Haven homes, including an 1870s Victorian and a former home of vaudevillians who helped found the borough of Fair Haven.

Art of Prevention June 18 at SICA
      Prevention First, Ocean Township, and the Shore Institute of the Contemporary Arts (SICA), 20 Third Ave., Long Branch, will host the second annual Art of Prevention 7-10 p.m. June 18 at SICA. The event is an exhibit and auction of artwork created by local students and was created to stress the importance that participating in hobbies such as art can make in a child's life.

Community YMCA 2-Mile Walk is June 13
      The Community YMCA, Red Bank, will join the George Sheehan Classic for The CommunityYMCA2 Mile Health Walk on Broad Street, Red Bank, June 13 beginning at 8:35 a.m. Walk proceeds will benefit the YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign. Walkers will receive entry to the expo village, a concert on June 12, post-race refreshments, a T-shirt, goody bag, team awards and more.

'They Will Surf Again' slated for June 28
      The nonprofit Life Rolls On Foundation will hold its second Northeast "They Will Surf Again" (TWSA) event 9 a.m. June 28 at Pier Village Beach, Long Branch. TWSA enables those with spinal cord injuries to get back in the water and enjoy a day of fun, sun and surf. It connects volunteers with a handful of injured individuals for the surfing.
