RBR names girls basketball coach
      LITTLE SILVER — Red Bank Regional High School has hired a new coach to put its girls basketball program on a par with other local schools. The RBR Board of Education has named RBR Academy of Finance teacher and Neptune resident James Young, a former athlete with Red Bank Catholic High School, as head coach for girls basketball.

Baseball team is third, softball team is sixth at national tournaments

      It has become a rite of spring. As sure as April showers bring May flowers, the Brookdale Community College baseball and softball teams play in the junior college national championships. The two teams — which over the years have become national powers — were at it again in 2009.
