      Sheehan Classic 2009: 'A great day for a race'
            For the second straight year, a New Jersey man crossed the finish line first in the George Sheehan Classic in Red Bank. Nick Pelligrino came down the stretch run on Broad Street on Saturday comfortably ahead to finish in a 24:55.55.

      Luchento addresses Freehold horsemen on closing day
            Tom Luchento, president of the Standardbred Breeders & Owners Association of New Jersey, spoke to about 70 horsemen on the morning of June 6, prior to the final card of the Freehold 2009 winter-spring meet.
