      Too many euphemisms have entered our lexicon
            Previously owned, marginalized, underprivileged, specially abled, significant other, mentally challenged, indigenous peoples, ethnocentric, nontraditional, transgender, nonviable tissue mass, gender-biased, multicultural, homophobic. These and many more euphemisms have gradually worked their way into our common parlance.

      N.J. candidates for governor must define lieutenant governor role
            For the first time, New Jersey voters will select a lieutenant governor along with a governor in November, but many are unaware or confused about the role the lieutenant governor will play. Soon candidates for governor will announce their picks — and speculation abounds — but not much has been said about the responsibilities and powers of a lieutenant governor.

      Resident proposes leaving both bridges in Highlands
            Nowadays, if you look north (e.g., from the Rumson bridge) toward the Highlands bridge construction, there's what I think is a pretty interesting view of parts of the new bridge rising over the old one. Since both bridges have their advocates, why don't we just leave them both there?
