            Mr. Jakstonis, 84, of Hazlet, died Aug. 1, 2009, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was employed at New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1984. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Louise A. Jakstonis, in 2000.

            Mr. Pitcher, 62, of Tinton Falls, died July 22, 2009, at home. He was a retired vice president of corporate materials management at the Sisters of Charity Medical Center, Staten Island, N.Y. He was predeceased by a sister, Janet Wood. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Joseph-Pitcher; two stepsons, Edward and Matthew Joseph of Oakwood Heights, N.Y.

            Mr. Kelleher, 47, of Rumson, died July 20, 2009, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He resided in Middletown for several years, prior to relocating to Rumson seven years ago. He was a property adjuster at Chubb Insurance for 15 years. He was predeceased by his son, Thomas X. Kelleher.

            Mr. DeLorenzo, 92, of Red Bank, died July 21, 2009, in Berkeley Heights. He was employed at the Red Bank Board of Education for more than 30 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary, in 2007.

            Mrs. Dunn, 91, of Fair Haven, died July 21, 2009, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was employed at Fort Hancock Hospital, Sandy Hook, during World War II. She is survived by her husband, Frank; a son and daughterin law, Bruce and Robin Dunn; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Michael Austin; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

      Florence C. "Jummie" Hickey
            Miss Hickey, 86, of Red Bank, died July 24, 2009, at home. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert; and a sister, Dorothy "Jiggs" Conover. She is survived by her companion of 60 years, Pierre Townsend; and a brother-in-law, William Conover. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.

            Mrs. Battista, 77, of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, died July 24, 2009, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She had resided in Long Branch and Oceanport before relocating to Oakhurst a few months ago. Mrs. Battista was an accountant at the Fort Monmouth Commissary, Eatontown, where she was employed more than 20 years before retiring.

            Mr. Velthoven,78, of Hazlet, died July 24, 2009, at home. He was employed for more than 40 years at Otis Elevator, Jersey City, retiring in 1993. He was predeceased by his wife, Audrey, in 2003. He is survived by a son and daughterin law, John and Laura Van Velthoven Jr.
