      Mr. Grassi, 79, of Lakewood, died at home July 31, 2009, after a long illness with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). A native New Yorker, he lived much of his life in Tinton Falls and Colts Neck before moving to Lakewood nine years ago. Mr. Grassi served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
