The Artwork of Mike Quon
"Victorian House" Mixed media drawings, watercolors and collages of landmarks, locations and favorite objects by local artist Mike Quon are on display through Sept. 2 at the Monmouth Beach Cultural Center.
The exhibit features more than 24 original works of art by Quon, a California native who is an artist and graphic designer best known for his colorful, bold brushstroke artwork.
Quon's drawings, watercolors, paintings and collages are often whimsical depictions of favorite places, everyday objects, animals and architecture.
His illustrations have been widely published and his artwork can be found in the permanent collections of the Library of Congress, The New York Historical Society, Wakita Design Museum (Japan), The New York Times and the U.S. Air Force Art Collection.

Gallery hours at the cultural center, located at 128 Ocean Ave., are Wednesday to Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
