      Lady Bulldogs ready for another banner season
            Coming off a Group II championship season, the Rumson-Fair Haven girls soccer team is anticipating another title run this fall. Head coach Mary Beth Tukis' team lost just two starters from last year's squad, including their goalkeeper and a forward, and has experienced players performing at a high level all over the pitch.

      Shore's cross country teams among best in NJ
            Coach Rob DeFilippis pointed out that his Red Bank Catholic runners had done some very good things on the track. But this is cross country season, and it remained to be seen if the RBC boys were going to be able to transfer that success to the 5K cross country distance.

      YMCA boys team places 2nd in national meets
            RED BANK — The Community YMCA Red Bank Swim Team, led by coach Jack Caucino, once again excelled at the national level by capturing 7th place overall at the 2009 YMCA Long Course Nationals held at the University of Maryland July 28 -31.
