N.J. Emerging Artists Series: Sangita Phadke: Pastels
"Yellow and Green Peppers" by Sangita Phadke The Monmouth Museum is hosting the third season of the New Jersey Emerging Artists Series in the Nilson Gallery. The series continues with an exhibition of pastel paintings by Colts Neck artist Sangita Phadke.
She creates larger-than-life portraits of fruits and vegetables, capturing the unique characteristics of her subjects in a photo realistic style.
The exhibit will run through Oct. 18 and the artist will share insights on her work in a gallery talk at the museum from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14. The discussion is free and open to the public.
Admission to the museum is $7 per person; members, Brookdale staff and students with a valid ID, and children under 2 are admitted free.
