Nelson Riddle Show at McLoone's Supper Club
Tim McLoone's Supper Club in Asbury Park will play host to the Nelson Riddle Show, a potpourri of Riddle's musical legacy.
The Riddle Family together with McLoone's will present an evening of original arrangements by the iconic arranger, composer and band leader on Friday, Nov. 13, and Saturday, Nov. 14.
Riddle, who was a Rumson resident in his youth, is widely considered to be "the glue" behind the musical successes of such legends as Frank Sinatra, Nat Cole, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, Rosemary Clooney, Judy Garland, Peggy Lee and Linda Ronstadt to name a few.
The show will be a major revival of the great American sound, featuring a 25-piece big band orchestra with strings attached, led by David O'Rourke, Oceanport resident and New York jazz guitarist, arranger and musical director. O'Rourke has been the editing consultant of the Riddle Family Trust.
Jazz singer Jennifer O'Rourke will perform along with English native Atila, who will also provide vocals.
Ticket price is $37. Dinner package is also available. Call 732-774-1400 for reservations and further information.
