Library's 'Books for Kids' begins Nov. 1

The Monmouth County Library's annual "Books for Kids" book drive will be held Nov. 1-Dec. 1. Books for preschoolers through age 14 will be accepted at any county library branch, and be distributed to local charities and community agencies that serve children with limited access to books.

Started in 1991, "Books for Kids" is a statewide program sponsored by the New Jersey Library Association's Children's Services Section. Last year, more than 600 Monmouth County children benefited from the effort.
