County library kids' book drive under way
      The Monmouth County Library will launch its annual Books for Kids book donation drive Nov. 1. Books for preschoolers through age 14 will be accepted through Dec. 1 at any county library branch. The books will be distributed to local charities and community agencies that serve children with limited access to books.

Meridian 'Moonlight Serenade' gala Nov. 21
      Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations will hold its 12th annual gala, "Moonlight Serenade Supper Club," Nov. 21 at Ocean Place Resort and Spa, Long Branch. The fundraising event benefits Meridian's nonprofit hospitals and community health programs in both Monmouth and Ocean counties. It will include live performances, and live and silent auctions.
