      James A. McNally
            Mr. McNally, 75, of Little Silver, died Oct. 29, 2009, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was a portfolio control manager at GE Capital Corp., retiring in 1992 after more than 30 years. During retirement, Mr. McNally was a crossing guard in Little Silver. He was a member of the Little Silver Shade Tree Commission.

      Helen Elizabeth Partrick Van Note
            Mrs. Van Note, 89, of Fair Haven, died Nov. 4, 2009, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was an executive secretary at Bendix Honeywell Corp., Eatontown, for more than 27 years, retiring in 1976. Mrs. Van Note was predeceased by her husband, William F. Van Note Jr.; a brother, John Partrick; and a sister; Grace Turnock. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

      Charles Schanck Jr.
            Mr. Schanck, 85 ,of Oceanport died Nov. 8, 2009, at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He had resided in Colts Neck before relocating to Oceanport 75 years ago. Mr. Schanck was employed at New Jersey Natural Gas Co. for 39 years, retiring as vice president of operations in 1989.

      Doris Foster
            Mrs. Foster, 89, of Tinton Falls, died Nov. 2, 2009, at Seabrook Village, Tinton Falls. She taught music in Pennsylvania and the Little Silver school system, retiring after several years. Mrs. Foster was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Charles Foster, in 1985.

            Mrs. Havard, 71, of Tinton Falls, died Oct. 27, 2009, at home. She had resided in Shrewsbury and Little Silver before relocating to Tinton Falls 20 years ago. Mrs. Havard is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, W. Scott and Jane Havard of Middletown, Kevin and Jacqueline Havard of Delray Beach, Fla.

      Dr. Robert L. "Bob" Ticehurst
            Dr. Ticehurst, V.M.D., 97, of Kensington, Md., and formerly Red Bank and Shrewsbury, died Oct. 28, 2009, in Bethesda, Md., following a brief illness. He founded Ticehurst Animal Hospital, Middletown. Prior to that, in 1936, Dr. Ticehurst partnered with his father, Harry Ticehurst, D.V.S. He was a former Red Bank health officer. Dr.

      Allen C. Lorentson
            Mr. Lorentson, 48, of Oceanport, died Oct. 28, 2009, at home. He had resided in West Long Branch before relocating to Oceanport five years ago. He was an emergency medical technician at Alert Ambulance, Lakewood, and a member of the Oceanport First Aid Squad. Mr. Lorentson was predeceased by a son, Eric Lorentson, in 1984; and his parents, Florence and Lawrence Lorentson.

      Stanley Hiram Munger
            Mr. Munger, 89, of Rumson, died Oct. 27, 2009, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was a research engineer at DuPont, Parlin, retiring in 1985. He was named a research fellow in 1984 and was the author of several patents. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Stephen Munger.
