      'United We Sing' celebration

The Monmouth Center for World Religions and Ethical Thought and the Social Action Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Monmouth County will sponsor the ninth annual "United We Sing" celebration at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at the Unitarian Universalist Meetinghouse, 1475 W. Front St., Lincroft.

The public is invited to this interfaith and multicultural artistic presentation of music, dance and verse, which brings together representatives of many traditions, including Muslim, Jain, Christian, Baha'i, Hindu, Sikh, Jewish, Native American, Buddhist and Unitarian Universalist communities.

This annual event has its origins in the aftermath of Sept. 11, 2001, as a means of bringing communities together for solace and healing.

It has continued as a celebration of joy and gratitude. Children are welcome to participate.

The performance will be followed by light refreshments. All are welcome. Admission is free.

For more information, contact Dr. Esmat Mahmoud, program chair, at 732- 371-5412.
