The Monmouth Conservatory of Music (MCM), will present a free concert 4 p.m. Nov. 21 in the community hall at Trinity Church, White Street, Red Bank. Guest artists Daniel Milkis, violin; and Nina Kogan, piano; will perform a program of works by Dvorak, Brahms, Poulenc and Sarasate. A faculty concert featuring Garry Ianco, violin; Dorothy Sobieski, viola; Jameson Platte, cello; and Vladislav Kovalsky, piano; will be 4 p.m. Nov. 28 at the MCM, 50 White St., Red Bank. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth County, Eatontown, raised more than $14,000 at its third annual volleyball tournament held in late September. Each team member raised a minimum of $75 in pledges to compete in the event. Prizewinners were Scott Clark, Bradley Beach, highest pledge amount; and the team Sets On The Beach, overall tournament winner. U.S Coast Guard Aux Flotilla 22 will offer a boating safety course 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 21 at Red Bank Regional High School, Hance Avenue, Little Silver. The State of New Jersey requires all individuals to have a N.J. Boating Safety Certificate, and the certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course. The certificate is also required for a PWC/jet ski operator of any age. Fee is $55 per person, and discounts are available for families, military, police, fire and EMTs. The Kiwanis Club of Greater Red Bank is sponsoring an ongoing children's book drive to benefit the Bridge of Books Foundation. Individuals are asked to bring new or gently used children's books between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. seven days a week to the Chelsea at Tinton Falls, 1 Hartford Drive. The Red Bank Theatre Company at Red Bank Regional High School, Hance Road, Little Silver, will present "Is He Dead?," 7:30 p.m. Nov. 20 and 22, and 2 p.m. Nov. 22. The play, adapted from a Mark Twain manuscript, pokes fun at 19th century French morals. Tickets are $10, and $5 for students and senior citizens. The Vincent S. Mastro Montessori Academy, 36 Birch Ave., Little Silver, will offer a free educational program, "The Gift of Discipline," 10 a.m. Nov. 19 that is open to the public and geared toward parents of young children. It will provide practical strategies for everyday disciplinary dilemmas. The program will take place during one of the open houses the school holds 9-11 a.m. each Thursday. Reservations are required. Two River Theater Company, Bridge Avenue, Red Bank, will present a concert by Joshua Nelson 7:30 p.m. Jan. 23. Proceeds benefit Congregation B'nai Israel of Rumson. Nelson will perform songs and spirituals. Through his composing, gospel singing and chanting Torah, Nelson embraces multicultural harmony.
