Mr. Pierson, 86, of Dunnellon, Fla., and formerly Long Branch, died Nov. 6, 2009, at Timberridge Nursing and Rehabilitation, Ocala, Fla. He was a retired engineer at Fort Monmouth Cecom, Tinton Falls. Mr. Pierson was predeceased by a brother, Rowland "Red" Pierson of Oceanport. He is survived by his companion of 37 years, Winnie Romaine; a sister-in-law, Carol of Oceanport; three nephews; a niece; and his companion's two daughters; four granddaughters; five greatgrandsons; and a great-great-granddaughter. Arrangements were by Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ocala, Fla.
