Shore Reg'l H.S. student artwork on exhibit

An exhibit showcasing the work of 21 International Baccalaureate art students at Shore Regional High School opened Dec. 1 at the West Long Branch Public Library.

"City Souls" by Alison Keller "City Souls" by Alison Keller An opening reception will be held 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6. Sponsored by the Friends of the West Long Branch Public Library, the exhibit will run through Dec. 30 at the library, located at 95 Poplar Ave.

Students of art teacher Mari Lavin created a personal/cultural theme that inspired their body of work. The two-year program for juniors and seniors ends with a final "exam," which is an art exhibit of work by seniors scheduled for April. Library hours are Monday- Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m.; Friday, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
