Capozzi's 9th-place finish leads RBC girls at MOC
Led by Michelle Capozzi, the Red Bank Catholic girls finished fourth at the seasonending NJSIAA Meet of Champions.

Capozzi covered Holmdel Park's 5K course in 18:52 on Nov. 21 to finish ninth overall in her final high school race at the famed course. She made it a memorable one clinching all-state recognition with her top 10 finish.
Behind Capozzi teammate Molly McNamara, who despite an off day finished 30th overall (19:32). But, in team scoring the junior was 10th. With county and conference titles this fall, Mc- Namara will be all-state.
Completing the RBC scoring were Liana Marzano (20:29), Lindsey Bellaran (20:36) and MaryKate Byrne (20:59). In team scoring the trio were 42-50-61 to bring the RBC team score to 166. Hillsborough won the MOC crown with 78 points.

RBC's boys were 11th (288). They were led by Kevin Byrne (17:06) and Kyle Clonan (17:27), who were 36th and 53rd in team scoring.
Red Bank Regional's Matt Mellitz was the highest place boy finisher placing 50th (16:47).
Don Bosco Prep won the team title over Christian Brothers Academy in a squeaker, 78-86.
West Windsor-Plainsboro North Joe Rosa provided the highlight of the day becoming the first harrier to break 15:00 on the challenging Holmdel Park course stopping the clock in 14:56. He took eight seconds off his own course record 15:04 set back in October at the Shore Coaches Invitational.
