Why is Rush Holt silent on global warming?

(Letter to Rep. Rush Holt, D-12th District)

President Barack Obama vowed to restore science to its rightful place in American society. Considering the recent news reports that have shown the "science" of global warming to be a fraud, I am baffled by your silence.

Surely a scientist would be outraged by such an egregious example of selective analysis, data manipulation and outright deception, followed by a bald-faced coverup of the deceit. Many of us have questioned the validity of the outrageous claims posited by Al Gore and members of the religion of global warming and have viewed it correctly, as a tool of the fringe left and entrenched Democrat politicians, to advance a political agenda. This is not just a problem of a small group of scientists skewing the data. It has farreaching consequences, as grant monies, green jobs, EPA regulations, cap and trade legislation, and even our sovereignty are directly related to the bogus notion that the Earth "has a temperature" and it is caused by carbon dioxide.

The Environmental Protection Agency has declared carbon dioxide a pollutant based on these studies.

As anyone who has been paying attention to this issue knows, there are thousands of scientists who do not accept the premise of man-made global warming and carbon dioxide as the causal link to a warming trend, and they have studies to prove it. Are you going to support the United States entering into a global climate treaty based on this discredited pseudo science? Now that this massive plot has been exposed as a dishonest ploy some questions remain: Who will be the person to restore science to its proper place in American society? Will you be the person that restores integrity to the process, respects the scientific method and banishes the bureaucrats from picking winners and losers while deciding what is worthy of study? Or is this issue too important to the greater good to be derailed by a couple of emails?
