Mildred F. Hopkins
Mrs. Hopkins, 88, of Red Bank, died Dec. 19, 2009, in Whippany. Born in Tinton Falls, she was raised in Red Bank and the Port Monmouth section of Middletown. Mrs. Hopkins was the cafeteria manager at Red Bank Primary School, and a cafeteria worker at the Red Bank Public School System for 23 years, retiring in 1982. She was predeceased by six sisters, Florence Johnson, Ethel Buckalew, Mary King, Jesse Johnson, Helen Mathys and Dorothy Granato; two brothers; John Johnson and Howard Austin Johnson; her first husband, James M. Pease, in 1942; her husband, Harry Hopkins; and her Aunt Grace. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James M. and Virginia Pease Jr. of Matawan; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Mark Camelotto of Morristown; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. Interment followed at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
