Business Briefs The Monmouth Beach Business Association will host an open house at member stores and shops on Sunday, May 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be music, food and special promotions at the participating Monmouth Beach establishments. Visitors can stroll down Beach Road and around the corner onto Riverdale Avenue to take in the festivities. Two new stores have opened during the winter months: the Starfish gift shop on Beach Road and the Boardwalk snack shop on Riverdale Avenue. "I want people to enjoy themselves while enjoying their community," said Laura Cannavo, co-owner with Cyndi Bayham of The Spa at Monmouth Beach and one of the organizers of the open house. This is the second year the business association has held an open house. The Investors Savings Bank branch on 20 White St. in Red Bank will join in the borough-wide "Paint the Town Pink" celebration with a Money Machine. Adults step into the machine and have 15 seconds to grab bills that will be swirling around them. The money they place in an apron pocket is theirs. Visitors can register to win a $1,500 shopping spree in any of Red Bank's shops. The "Go Pink" activities are part of the branch's first-anniversary salute. The celebration is scheduled for May 8, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and May 9, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jersey Shore Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) has announced Diana St. John, marketing director at Count Basie Theatre, Red Bank, has been selected to serve as a vice chairwoman, and Sophia Mangalee, marketing and communications coordinator at Monmouth Park, Oceanport, will serve as the organization's secretary. DMO promotes tourism in Monmouth and Ocean counties. Jorge F. Corzo, M.D., a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist affiliated with Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, has opened a new office at 100 Commons Way, Suite 150, in Holmdel. He is the medical director of rehabilitation services at Riverview Rehabilitation Center at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Rick Kiernan, associate executive director at Seabrook, Tinton Falls, has received the Corporate Clara Barton Humanitarian Award from The Jersey Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross, Tinton Falls. Kiernan received the award for leading the ongoing partnership between Seabrook and the Red Cross. He also serves on the executive committee of the Jersey Coast Chapter. Seabrook has been affiliated with the Red Cross for three years. Some efforts Seabrook is involved include resident volunteer efforts, hosting first aid and CPR classes for Seabrook residents and staff, and community blood drives. Cardelfe Masonry, Fair Haven, is celebrating its 30th year in business. The company is owned by brothers Phil and Scott Cardelfe, and provides masonry work including decorative brick and stone, walkways and patios, fireplaces and other masonry projects for commercial and residential clients. Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A., has announced that the following local residents have been selected for inclusion on the 2009 "New Jersey Super Lawyers" list as designated by Law & Politics magazine: David M. Wildstein, Long Branch; and Hesser G. McBride Jr. and Randall J. Richards, both Middletown. Selected for inclusion on the Rising Stars list were Todd E. Lehder, Fair Haven, and John E. Hogan, Shrewsbury. The lists were published in the April edition of New Jersey Monthly and New Jersey Super Lawyers. The Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce (EMACC) has appointed three individuals to its board of directors. Red Bank Sleep Shoppe founder and president Stu Paer, and Wall Stadium promoter Jim Morton have announced that the popular bedding store is sponsoring the speedway's modified stock car division for the 2009 season. DonnaLyn Giegerich, of Couch Braunsdorf Insurance and a member of Heritage Benefits Group LLC, Red Bank, has successfully completed her annual certified insurance counselor (CIC) designation update.
