'The American Landscape'
Beacon Fine Arts Gallery will preview an exhibit of landscape paintings by six artists June 27 beginning at 5 p.m. at the gallery at 61 Monmouth St. in Red Bank.

Nick Berger
"The American Landscape" preview will feature works by Steve Alpert, Nick Berger, Lisa Hannick, Sharon Hathaway, Ted Jeremenko and Lou Messa.

Those planning to attend are encouraged to RSVP by contacting the gallery at 732-936-0888 or beaconfa@aol.com.

Each of the artists will be available to speak with guests about their artwork. Refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Gallery owner David Griswold noted the distinctive style of each artist's work. Alpert uses subtle changes in color to vary light, depth and form and infuse his works with a sense of awe.

Berger creates landscapes and seascapes whose detail, sophistication and subdued color give the paintings a feeling of history.

Hannick's oil paintings on canvas and gilded board blend classic style and detail with contemporary experimentation.

Hathaway, a Midwest transplant, has adapted her palette to portray the beauty of the Jersey Shore.

Ted Jeremenko
Jeremenko's passion for simple, elegant architecture is conveyed in his Americana representation of lighthouses, barns, cottages and village scenes.

Messa's detailed dry brush watercolors and paintings on canvas illustrate his love for country and the Blue Ridge mountains.

Beacon Fine Arts Gallery features paintings, sculptures, glasswork and more by some of the world's finest contemporary artists.
